Classic Bad Photography Sunday: The Stadium

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and Lackawanna County Stadium have been in the news a lot lately, so I thought it would be a good time to look back to a day filled with optimism.  I took this picture April 26, 1989-- opening night for the new Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons.  The Barons were out on the artificial surface, taking batting practice, as the photo was taken a couple hours before the first pitch.

Notice, a truck on the warning track, putting the finishing touches on the scoreboard.  Also note the minimal advertising beyond the outfield fence.  The ballpark had a classy look that night, and we were all amazed that we had something this nice here in our area.
