I'm undecided on a couple of my favorite New Year's Day activities. It looks too wet to go out and play with the camera. I usually do a little shopping. Many things go on sale, especially winter gear. If you buy something winter related in our area, you can always use it for another six months! Given the current situation, necessity shopping is OK. Recreational shopping can wait.
As I always say, we give way too much significance to the turning of a calendar page, but if it makes you feel better, by all means, go for it.
It's a new year, but the old problems remain. Maybe they will be solved as we move in to the year. On the other hand...
