For the most part, time seems to go a little faster as you get older, and this year is zipping by. It's almost half over.
As a kid, summers zoomed. The school year dragged.
There does come a time, as a mature adult, when time slows to a crawl.
I have a week off at the end of July. While I like my job, I'm looking forward to a short break, and it seems vacation time will never get here.
There are no fabulous vacation plans, and it's extremely likely I won't stray far from home. Still, a week without an alarm clock is desirable. I haven't had a weekend off since October.
Time might slow down, but you can't stop it. Maybe if I stop looking at calendars and clocks, the days and weeks will speed up.
