It makes me sad, and it started a round of thought on institutions.
You thought places like Keystone would always be there.
You believed your corner church would always be there.
You looked forward to your morning newspaper hitting the front porch-- every day.
You had no doubt your childhood friends, childhood pets, childhood haunts, would always be there.
You prayed your family would always be there.
You knew you would always shop at The Globe, Sears, Sugermans...
You believed you'd have the same doctor for life.
You had that unspeakable and indescribable confidence of knowing a close friend had your back.
You encounter the same sad story, and pray it has a different ending.
